About Donald Mattersdorff

Donald founded D. Mattersdorff LLC to answer the needs of two friends searching for a trustworthy financial advisor. His sense of integrity, his broad experience and his passion for history provide his clients with an independent and critical opinion that is unique in the industry.

Donald has over twenty years of experience as a financial advisor for institutions, mutual funds and private investors. His previous roles included working for the Boston based Putnam Family of Mutual Funds as a securities analyst and then as a portfolio manager. Later he 

he performed a similar role for GT Global Funds in San Francisco.

​

He graduated with honors from Dartmouth College in 1984 with a major in history. And he has been a Chartered Financial Analyst since 1995.

When he's not working for his clients, he likes reading historical biographies, playing with his kids, skiing and volunteering in his community.​
